Merle, also known as “Da Homie Merle” started his shoe customizing career during his middle school days. It all started with a pair of Air Force 1 mids and some white out on the swoosh. That unlocked the potential that could come from being able to customize your own sneakers.

After bumping shoulders with some of the greatest customizers in our city like “El Cap”. Merle started doing his own commission sneaker designs for companies and himself. Not physically making the shoe, but designing the shoe for possible reproduction.

The Love for customizing shoes has never stopped. Though you may not see many “Merle Customs” out here on the street. Merle always has something on his feet that may look like something you know, but always has a special addition as his own touch.

The idea was always to dare to be different, but over the years the idea of being different cultivated itself in creativity. We think a lot of us do not posses what it takes to be creative. This is the chance to show that each one of us has the potential to be creative.
